Funding of Art

Hillary Clinton has voiced her support for government funding of art, without allowance for public or government "censorship". Regarding funding of the Brooklyn Museum of Art's exhibit featuring a dung-covered painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she stated that, "should not lead to penalizing and shutting down of the entire museum". Later that week the Senate voted unanimously to withhold funds from the Museum unless it cancelled the offensive exhibit. If Hillary was our senator, she would have been the only Senator to support funding. Either she would have voted differently if in the Senate, or she apparently is out of the mainstream.

Despite the above statements, she also believes the public has NO right to deny or prevent dung-covered paintings, genital cut-outs, sectioned animals in glass and other violent, sexually graphic and obscene art to be displayed publicly, financed by taxpayers.
