in the Justice Department. Pleaded guilty to fraud and tax evasion. Received work from
the Riadi Empire before going to prison.
Jim Guy Tucker
- Indicted on 11 new counts of conspiracy, wire fraud, making
false statements and misapplying funds. Was found guilty of fraud and faced 10 years in
prison and $500,000 in fines.
David Hale
- former Arkansas Municipal Court Judge found guilty of defrauding
the federal government (taxpayers). He pleaded guilty to conspiracy and mail fraud
charges.
Charlie Trie -
former Little Rock restaurant owner and long time friend of
the Clintons. Pleaded guilty for violating campaign finance laws. He was caught
reimbursing campaign contributions to donors. The White House has always maintained
White House coffees, sometimes hosted by Mrs. Clinton, weren't fund-raisers, but Trie
said, "It was ... well known that it cost $50,000 to attend a coffee."
Roger Clinton
- Brother to Bill Clinton. Plead guilty on 4 counts of
distributing cocaine. Served a 2 year sentence.
Dan Lasater
- convicted of felony drug charges for the distribution of cocaine.
Lasater was convicted but pardoned by Governor Clinton. (Clinton says the pardon was so
Lassater could qualify for a hunting license.) However, even as Lasater was being
investigated for drug dealing, Clinton's Arkansas Finance Authority awarded Lasater
authority to underwrite a $30 million bond issue to build a state police communication
facility-- an undertaking for which Lasater pocketed $750,000.
David Watkins
- Clinton/Gore campaign manager, Assistant to President
Clinton for Management and Administration. He resigned after using the presidential
helicopter, at a cost of $13,000, for a golf outing. He also used $37,000 from the
Clinton '92 campaign to pay off a sexual harrassment charge.
